We set high quality standards, benchmarking ourselves against the best of the best, maintaining Quality at every stage.
For communicating top management commitment to Quality, the Managing Director of Newgen, Mr. Diwakar Nigam has laid down Newgen's Quality Policy as under;
- Provide solutions for business process and document management to its customers for mutual prosperity and happiness.
- Meet and exceed customer requirements by delivering solutions first time right and on time, leading to customer delight.
- Make continual improvement in quality management system effectiveness.

- Reduce rework effort in the projects.
- Deliver projects and services as per committed quality and schedule.
- Improve responsiveness from support departments.

At Newgen, quality certification was never a business requirement, but happened as a natural consequence of its Quality endeavors. In its quality journey, Newgen achieved various milestones that signify recognition of its quality commitment by the external world. The Quality journey started in 1997 with establishment of Quality System Group and formalizing Newgen Quality System. It has never looked back since then. In 1998, Newgen was certified to ISO 9001: 1994. Its re-certification happened in the year 2001. Newgen was then certified to ISO 9001: 2000 in December 2003. Its re-certification happened in the year 2006. In quest of improvement and safeguarding from the potential business risk, Newgen was certified on Information Security Standard ISO 27001:2005 in the year 2007.
In 2009, Newgen’s Quality Systems were approved for compliance for new ISO standards, ISO 9001 : 2008. It was also successfully assessed to CMMI Level3 (ver 1.2)
The senior management is fully committed to all quality endeavours. It actively participates in the planning, executing and reviewing of Quality initiatives. While Mr. T. S. Varadarajan, our Director, presides Management Committee meetings to review effectiveness of Newgen Quality Systems, Mr. Diwakar Nigam, our Managing Director, participates in detailed reviews of all projects towards their Quality plans. These reviews include completeness, effort and schedules of all projects as these directly affect our customer requirements. Our workforce is constantly exposed to various training courses on programming practices, software quality assurance and software engineering, and on specific tools and techniques such as configuration management, inspection and reviews. This process is supported by a hands-on quality assurance function and a comprehensive system of internal audits.
Similarly our SEPG Group consists of Group Heads of all departments who regularly meet for process improvement initiatives. On their recommendation Newgen has started adopting eSCM practices as well as working for CMMI Level 5. These shall be our main focus for next one year.
