Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) is a standard accepted worldwide by all the leading BPM vendors.
BPEL helps expose the business processes as service-oriented. Service-oriented processes are processes in which each elementary step is either an internal action performed by a Web service or a communication action performed by a Web service (sending and/or receiving a message). This enables the business owner use an existing process like Debit Card Issuance for different processes like Savings Account Opening and Current Account Opening.
- BPEL processes can be executed to implement a composite Web service
- BPEL draws upon concepts and constructs from imperative programming languages
- BPEL supports Business Process Management (BPM) by enabling third-party integration with processes
- BPEL processes can be fully executable
Newgen’s OmniFlow being BPEL compliant allows the business owner to readily deploy any BPEL compliant process using OmniFlow. Newgen’s OmniFlow even allows the business owner to expose his designed process as a web service for his business partners.
