 Carborundum Universal Limited (CUMI) Deploys Newgen’s SSC Solution
The organization required a solution for setting up a Shared Service Center (SSC) to strengthen the existing business model. The organization needed SSC setup due to its business reach at different geographical locations.
Newgen’s commitment and efficiency facilitated the organization to decide & finalize the solution for setting up the S02.SC. The scope of SSC was to centralize the Accounts Payable process for the organization. The process involves AP 2-way, 4-way, Freight Bills, Employee Claims and Advance Payments. Newgen’s Implementation Team extended a full support in finalizing the Barcode Methodology adopted across the Scanning Stations. The implementation allows the users to archive external documents in OmniDocsTM, using the ERP interface as well as view, print and download the documents.
Newgen’s solution is integrated with the ERP solution for validating and providing the data lookup feature. The invoice is automatically validated and sent for approval. OmniDocsTM handles the complete data entry process and finally the data is posted to the ERP. The installation is under the UAT phase and is expected to be live by 1st September 2009. The solution enables a reduction in Turn Around Time (TAT). The valuable features like Dashboard and organized reports enable a total control over the SSC. The repository helps in saving the document images that can be easily retrieved at a later point in time.
