The month of August saw Newgen making further inroads into the Telecom sector and Insurance sector, with their flagship products and BPM solutions. In addition, Newgen was highly visible by organizing and participating in various events.

Hutch India implemented Newgen’s OmniDocs and OmniCapture in two more circles. 

Bajaj Allianz, a leading Insurance company in India, decided to go for Newgen’s BPM solution. The solution will support 200 users concurrently working from different locations.  

ICICI Prudential, one of the first private sector insurance company to begin operations in India, integrated Newgen’s OmniReports and Newgen Smart Statements with their Website.

The new facility will allow customers to log on to their account and view their statements, notices and receipts on the Website.

For the first time Newgen organized a User Group Meet. Newgen felicitated its valued customers and acknowledged their contribution in making Newgen’s solutions a success.

Newgen to Implement its Workflow Solution in two more Hutch Circles

 

Hutch India once again went in for Newgen’s OmniDocs and OmniCapture for two more circles in Northern India - Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.

 

Due to exponentially growing customer base, Hutch was finding it difficult to efficiently address various customer requests and queries, along with inadvertent delays in the processing of customer forms. A large number of documents such as Customer Acquisition Forms are daily produced and need to be frequently processed.

 

Newgen has proposed the solution in form of OmniDocs and OmniCapture. Documents will be scanned using OmniCapture and images saved at the local OmniDocs server. These images can be used for local processing and will be replicated back to the central server, present in New Delhi, at the end of the day.

 

The central server stores the document images and data for processing. Newgen will integrate OmniDocs with Hutch’s EPOS (Electronic Point Of Sales), thus image-enabling EPOS and enhancing the system’s capability to efficiently manage all the data. As per the expectation of the customer, this should result in better customer-servicing time and improved productivity.

Newgen bags order to implement its Business Process Management solution  at Bajaj Allianz      

 

In a bid to allow their users to view documents online, Bajaj Allianz has decided to implement Newgen’s Product Suite containing OmniFlow, OmniDocs, OmniCapture and Record Management System (RMS).

 

The Newgen solution will enable implementation of the desired workflow by tightly integrating the solution with core policy-processing application, OPUS. The integration will allow silent sign on, real time data exchange and guided data entry in OPUS pages.

 

Initially, the solution will cover the New Business Process implementation on Newgen OmniFlow product suite. The current implementation will cover Head Office, approximately 40 branch offices and one Central Processing Unit. Later on, the solution will be expanded to another 100 branches.

 

OmniCapture will be used to scan and upload proposal forms at branch offices and export them to the Central Processing Unit. This unit will perform data entry, data validation and underwriting, and eventually, dispatch the policy.

 

OPUS will be used as line of business back-end application system to process insurance proposals & transactions. OPUS generated documents will be stored in a central OmniDocs repository and can be easily viewed.

 

The Newgen solution is expected to substantially cut down on policy issuance time, allow flexible work allocation depending on load, enable more accurate data entry and improve overall productivity, besides several other benefits.

 

The solution will be implemented on Oracle 10g Application Server hosted on Red Hat Linux OS, with access through Mozilla browser on Linux Desktop as the front-end.

Newgen Smart Statement Server goes live at ICICI Prudential

 

Newgen’s OmniReports along with Newgen Smart Statements has been integrated with the ICICI Prudential Website, where the customer can log on to their account and view their statements, notices and receipts. The bulk e-mail solution has enabled quickly sending a large number of statements to the customer. An on-request facility for sending statements over mail has also been incorporated.

 

ICICI Prudential was looking for a solution where the policyholders as well as customer executives at ICICI should be able to view, print and e-mail various statements, notices and receipts instantly from the Website of ICICI Prudential.

 

Bulk e-mail facility was also required to quickly send the huge volumes of regular statements, notices and receipts, which earlier was a tedious and time-consuming nature due to the manual nature of the process. Also, there was risk of statements getting lost in transit.

 

The Newgen solution has provided customers of ICICI Prudential with instant availability of statements, enabling them to know the current status of their payments without the assistance of any executive from ICICI.

 

In addition, it has resulted in reduced distribution costs, quick distribution of statements, reduced retrieval time for fetching documents and better control and management of customer documents by having a central repository. Overall, it has resulted in happier and satisfied customers with improved bottomline.

Newgen conducts its inaugural User Group meet

Newgen Marks its Presence at Shared Services Asia Summit 2005

 

A 2-day conference from 23-24 August, 2005 was organized at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel, Singapore. This conference brought together premier gathering of business people in the Shared Service Centre (SSC) domain from the four surrounding continents.

 

The conference focused on current trends and emerging issues in shared services, outsourcing and offshoring. Participants had the opportunity to get exposed to interactive workshops, comprehensive case studies, latest technologies and discover best strategies and practices that directly affect Shared Service Centers.

 

Newgen showcased its quality BPM solutions and products for SSCs.
