Vysya Selects Newgen for CTS Implementation
ING Vysya
Bank Ltd. has chosen Newgen to implement the Cheque Truncation Solution
(CTS) across its branches in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Cheque
Truncation has been rolled out in NCR as part of the new initiative from
RBI to speed up cheque-clearing process by using cheque images rather than
the physical cheques.
CTS is
an image-based cheque clearing system, which replaces the physical cheque
flow with electronic information flow throughout clearing cycle.
The CTS
solution will be deployed at Regional Collection Center (RCC), Delhi of the bank.
The solution to be implemented at ING Vysya consists of ChequeFlow
Professional, Dashboard, Process Modeller, Document Management Server,
Cheque Flow clients and several other components.
CTS
offers pre-configured workflow for inward and outward clearing,
comprehensive archiving, indexing and image-retrieval capabilities,
flexible and easy-to-use workflow designer and scanning facilities. In
addition, it also offers an interactive interface and comprehensive
analysis and report-generation capabilities.
ING
Vysya Bank Ltd. brought together erstwhile, Vysya Bank Ltd, a premier bank
in the Indian Private Sector and a globally recognized financial
powerhouse, ING, during Oct 2002. The bank offers a wide range of
facilities and services, and is one of the most respected banks in India,

Ranbaxy Tunes in to Newgen for Shared Services Center
Solution
NEWGEN
recently bagged an order to set up a Shared Services
Center for Ranbaxy. NEWGEN
flagship products, OmniFlow, OmniDocs and OmniCapture form the core of the
solution, which primarily manage the Accounts Payable and other Finance
related processes.
Ranbaxy
has a slew of elaborate Accounts and Finance processes, which are currently
decentralized and are carried out individually at different units. This
creates fragmented processes and makes it difficult to control and monitor
the processes. In addition, there is no suitable method to measure
productivity performance and associate proper accountability. Moreover, the
turnaround time for these processes is also quite high.With a successful
implementation base of its BPM solutions, Newgen solution is being looked
at as a panacea for these problems faced by Ranbaxy. NEWGEN solution will
be in the form of a BPM framework with integrated scanning (OmniCapture),
DMS (OmniDocs) and Workflow (OmniFlow) solutions involving integration with
SAP. The system, once in place, will
help in close and tight monitoring and centralized control for various
processes. The turnaround time, too, is expected to be drastically reduced.
In addition, the solution will also help Ranbaxy address the Compliance
requirements.
Thus, the
solution will help centralize and mange all the back-office operations at
the industrial hub of Gurgaon, near New
Delhi.

Newgen
Forays into BPM Space in Europe
Recently,
NEWGEN registered its presence in the BPM space in Europe.
NEWGEN won an order from Vilniaus Energija based out of Lithuania. The
win is in the key vertical of Utility (Power sector).
The
company’s procurement department was facing problems regarding the amount
of time taken in procuring materials and managing this material, which was
leading to delayed and inefficient processing, low throughput and high
procurement cost for the company.
The BPM
solution provided by Newgen
will streamline the entire
procurement process through complete automation thereby establishing a
robust system. The solution consists of NEWGEN proven products, OmniFlow,
OmniDocs and Record Management System (RMS).
The
solution will be implemented at the
main facility and will be rolled out
to other sister companies aswell. This win is a significantly progressive
step towards establishing NEWGEN as a provider of world-class BPM solutions
in European geography. Vilniaus Energija provides centralized heating
services to nearly 195,000 residential apartments in Vilnius, Grigiskes, Salininkai and Traku
Voke.
The
main activities of Vilniaus Energija are heat energy production in the CHP
plants and boiler houses, electricity production in the CHP plants,
operation, maintenance, expansion, construction and design of the district
heating networks, pumps, boiler houses, CHP plants, block substations, and
maintenance of the heating services customers technical equipment.

Puts an Impressive Show at Infotech 2005
NEWGEN
participated in the annual Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
event, Infotech 2005, organized by the National Computer Board (NCB), at
the Freeport Operations Mauritius (FOM), Mer Rouge in Mauritius.
During
the event, a large number of companies exhibited and demonstrated their
products. NEWGEN, participated along with its partner, State Informatics
Limited. NEWGEN products generated a lot of interest from business users.
The aim
of Infotech 2005 was to spread the awareness about Information and
Communication Technologies in Mauritius by witnessing
