Newgen Software Registers Win From a Fortune 300 Company

Newgen Software recently won a prestigious Accounts Payables solution order from a leading atmospheric & specialty gases related services provider.

Praxair has operations in more than 30 countries. The Accounts Payables process was largely manual and handled independently in each country where it operates. Various documents such as invoices (PO and others), bills, receipts, etc., were processed for payment at various locations in respective countries.

In order to streamline the payment process and gain efficiencies of scale, Praxair established a Shared Services Center (SSC) in Shanghai, China for centralized processing of their APAC payments. Newgen proposed its Accounts Payables solution, which is based on its product suite comprising OmniFlow^TM, OmniDocs^TM and OmniScan^TM for automated and centralized processing of documents. The Newgen solution enables Praxair to have better control of the entire payment process. The SSC processes payments for four countries in Asia – India, China, Korea and Thailand. Documents are scanned using OmniScan^TM at these four locations and introduced in OmniFlow^TM for centralized processing at the SSC in China. OmniDocs^TM is used for storing and managing the scanned documents. Additional Image servers deployed in India, Korea and Thailand serve as local depositories, thereby reducing the bandwidth required for referring to local documents.
