Newgen OmniDocsTM for Managing Documents at Aamby Valley
Aamby Valley, India’s first-of-its-kind self-contained city, provides residential options and business and recreational facilities amidst the most natural surroundings. Aamby Valley has drawn huge interest from various quarters. This has led to significant increase in amount of paper work in various departments at Aamby Valley such as Legal, Accounts, Customer Delight and Planning.
With the growing load of documents, such as agreements, contracts, invoices, architectural blueprints, the company sought a solution that could provide anytime, anywhere access to documents and easily maintain and manage documents. Newgen OmniDocs fitted the company requirements perfectly. Documents would be scanned using OmniScanTM and stored in OmniDocsTM repository. Scanned documents would be stored in a hierarchical structure with right-based access to users of the various departments. Document would be indexed prior to storing in OmniDocs to enable quick retrieval by the users. Scanning will be done in Mumbai, whereas the Application Server and the Database server will be configured at Lonavala. A 2Mbps line connects Mumbai and Lonavala offices. Users of the concerned departments would be able to access document over the Internet.
The solution, apart from providing round-the-clock access to documents, would also eliminate redundancies in documents and cut substantial costs related to managing documents.
