Skoch Consultancy Services, in collaboration with Red Hat India, recently awarded Newgen Software as the winner of “The World is Open” awards for implementation of its state-of-the art BPM solution, using open sources, at Deutsche Bank. The awards, in their first year, received a large number of nominations from various private and government IT companies totaling 163. The projects were nominated under various categories, which included Governance, Banking, Financial Services, Education, Infrastructure, Telecom and Healthcare amongst others. Newgen won the award in Banking category.

The awards are presented to recognize adoption of open source technologies or components in implementing enterprise-grade solutions, which require top-line robustness, security and scalability. Several parameters, including effectiveness in delivering project objectives, open standards, relevance, innovation, scalability and flexibility, went into deciding the winners.
