Gujarat Gas Company Limited Steps on the Gas with Newgen Solution
Newgen Software recently bagged an order for implementing its Enterprise Content Management solution, OmniDocsTM at Gujarat Gas Company Limited (GGCL), the prestigious Gas establishment.
The company was facing increasing challenges to store a number of physical documents and drawings related to various projects Ltd. Asset Depository is a central depository for all business-critical content, such as project documents, drawings, storage media (Tapes, CDs, DVDs), original equipment manuals, etc. The documents and drawings are usually in A3 and A4 paper sizes and were difficult to store owing to space constraints, wear and tear, and associated costs. Also, the users across all the groups and departments deposit business critical documents to the Asset Depository. Whenever a user requests to use a particular document, he is allowed only after verifying his/corresponding department’s access rights.
With Newgen solution, all the physical documents will be stored and managed using OmniDocsTM. With the solution’s scalability, GGCL would be able to effortlessly manage the increasing workload. To automatically manage document access, the solution uses access control parameters, such as organizational structure, level of employees, etc.
