Newgen Software Bags One of the Biggest EDMS Projects in the World
Newgen Software recently won a highly prestigious Enterprise Document Management System (EDMS) implementation order from one of the largest Insurance companies through HP.
The project involves complete automation of more than 2000 branches of the insurance company across the length and breadth of the country. Records of nearly 200 million customers will be available to the users online for better customer service. The Newgen EDMS solution will eliminate risks of record loss/damage due to natural disasters and accidents, as the records will be archived in digital form.
Newgen Software would provide OmniScanTM, the bulk scanning software, for scanning of various forms and records; and OmniDocsTM, the Enterprise Document Management System, for managing and storing the scanned forms. The order is among the largest orders for Newgen Software, and the implementation shall be done in phased manner. The project was flagged off with a pilot implementation in Mumbai.
This client of Newgen offers a number of products under Insurance Plans, Pension Plans, Unit Plans, and Group Schemes, in addition to other categories. Today, the company functions with over 2000 fully computerized branches.
