NEWGEN^® OmniExtract processes virtually any kind of form and captures all possible kinds of information, viz. Hand-printed/ Handwritten Characters, Optical Marks (Ticked, Crossed or Filled Ovals/ Checkboxes), Barcode Symbologies, Machine-printed Characters and MICR Fonts. The various components of the NEWGEN^® OmniExtract system allow you to Scan paper forms, Define forms, Extract data, Verify/ Validate the extracted content based on rules, and Export the same to external applications. Not only this, the NEWGEN^® OmniExtract System Integration Toolkit makes the management of Forms and Extracted Data a whole lot easier.

NEWGEN^® OmniExtract has a well designed, modular architecture. It comprises Extraction Server, Extraction Manager, Form Definition, Scan Station and Verification Station.

This is the core of the NEWGEN^® OmniExtract system and works on Windows Server platforms. The Extraction Server runs independently, without requiring any human intervention and supports volumes ranging up to millions of forms. It is a queue-based service that continually picks up forms and extracts them on the basis of their definitions. The extracted data is available to the client applications for further processing. Integration with third-party business applications is done using Extraction Server's COM-based APIs.

Optional voting between multiple ICR Engines is available for increased performance of Hand-printed/ Handwritten Character Recognition and Substitution.

This is primarily a server side Administrative tool for monitoring and controlling batches submitted for extraction. The Manager can create and register the Forms for processing, register a Batch and View/ Modify Batch Status, Export Batch Data and Batch Images, Purge the Batches and Generate/ Print Audit Reports.

Typically, this is the first stage for beginning processing of forms. It is a complete Form-Template and Rule Definition module that not only allows Definition of Data Zones (i.e. Association of Recognition Properties and Data Fields) but also Definition of Business or Validation Rules. Form Definition also Test-Verifies a template for instant confidence building.

This client application provides production-grade-scanning using standard TWAIN and ISIS-compliant document scanners. Using this module you can Scan and Submit forms from multiple stations for data extraction. The Scan Station allows easy organization of Forms into Batches, while leveraging all scanner-specific capabilities. The best part is that you avoid manual sorting prior to scanning, and scan batches of mixed forms and documents. It includes Neural Network-based dynamic Form Identification and Segregation features.

The Verification Station is responsible for Validating and Correcting extracted data through seamless juxtaposition of the image with extracted data. Intelligent notifications allow quick substitution of doubtful characters. There are three modes of Verification.
