Newgen Launches Output Management System, OmniOMSTM
With the release of its much-awaited Output Management System, OmniOMSTM, Newgen has brought to market a one-stop solution for managing enterprise output in a seamless, cost-effective manner that impacts both top line and bottom line of businesses. OmniOMSTM is designed to provide centralized control for managing the organization’s output by consolidating the data from different applications running on diverse platforms throughout the extended enterprise.

OmniDocs 6.0 released

Newgen Software announced the launch of the latest version of its Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solution, OmniDocsTM 6.0. It offers enhanced security features, improved scalability and manageability and better compliance to technology and industry standards.

The newly introduced Maker Checker feature is used for dual authorization in administrative operations, thereby fully ensuring the validity of the transaction. In addition, powerful password-configuration policies, enhanced audit trail and last-login-detail greatly improve security.

OmniDocsTM 6.0 fully supports industry-standard platforms, database and application servers. For example,

application servers such as Weblogic, Oracle 10g and IBM WebSphere; database such as Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and Oracle 10g; and operating systems such as Windows, Solaris and Linux.

OmniDocsTM 6.0 is geared to manage the ever-increasing content volumes and drive the performance improvements for clients across industries. Improved scalability and performance is provided through support for load balancing, clustering and fail-over along with innovative caching, pre-fetching, replication and synchronization features.

OmniReports 4.1 now available

Newgen announced a significant upgrade to its enterprise report management platform, OmniReportsTM. The latest release, OmniReportsTM 4.1, offers better search, easier compliance and consistent reporting amid changing requirements, in addition to other unique features. Some of the features include:

  • Dynamic information fetching from the database for marked zones. This helps companies automatically manage reports that need real-time customer information
  • Linked report definition and design support enables easy management of similar reports across multiple departments of the company
  • Support for rule-based Annexures/Images
  • Multi-search support helps companies quickly answer queries from investigating agencies, thereby ensuring better compliance management
  • Layout versioning helps maintain multiple versions of reports, often a mandatory requirement
