1. What is SmartStatements?

SmartStatements is a complete Billing/ Statement Presentation, Archival and Retrieval Solution over the Intranet and Internet. It allows employees and customers to access any current or historic bills/ statements online. Statements or Bills can even be faxed or e-mailed to the customers according to the details they provide, thus giving the customer the freedom of accessing statement details, anytime, anywhere and anyhow.

4. How can a customer login into SmartStatements ?

A link can be provided to SmartStatements in the main site of the company, which will connects the users to SmartStatements Web server. The link can also be sent to the customers in their mail accounts, where they can click and start viewing.

5. What are the Security features in SmartStatements ?

A unique login ID and Password is provided in SmartStatements for every customer and officer logging in. Only after logging in, the customer specific bills/ statements are archived and indexed in the encrypted form in the Newgen proprietary database.

6. How can a customer get mail or fax from SmartStatements ?

  Whenever a new Statement/ Bill is generated from any Billing/ Report generation system, it is indexed in SmartStatements and the statement/ bill is mailed or faxed to the customer through the Mail/ Fax Utility. The Statement/ Bill is mailed or Faxed based on the preference of the customer- this is part of receiving mail/ fax in a routine (Push Technology).

To get a mail/ fax pertaining to the previous months, earlier billing cycle or even current bill/ statement, the customer will log into the system and request for mail/fax of the historic bill/ statement (Pull Technology).

7. How can SmartStatements be integrated with IVRS?

The request from any existing IVRS will act as an input to SmartStatements. Based on the input parameters, the bill/statement is searched and corresponding Tiff Image of the search results is made. This is faxed to the customer based on the fax numbers from the database.

The Report Designer Module helps in making the bill/ statement presentable to the customers. The exact look and feel of the bill/ statement is created by layout designing through Report Designer. Multiple layouts for a single report type can also be designed.

The login and password for the customers can be used directly from the existing database of the customers and options for sending mails or faxes can be can be set in SmartStatements.

10.What are the Alert Rights of an Officer?

The Alert Rights of Officer are based on the location and the number of customer's that fall under that location. These are beneficial for online Query Resolution in case of any discrepancy arising due to any amount or value in the bill/statement. The officer placed for a specific location will answer the queries of all the customers falling in that location.
